Senior Quality Control (QC) engineer should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards. Senior QC engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. He/she will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure the software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and validates requirements and technical specifications.
- Develops and executes test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer feedback and prioritization.
- Documents results; offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality.
- Automation testing/ Performance testing.
- Collaborates with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing)
- Communicates professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization.
- Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test processes and reporting for QA processes.
- Manages testing efforts across many varied projects and tasks under tight deadlines.
- Mentors and provides training assistance to QA Engineer
- Monitor debugging process results.
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience of software testing experience.
- +1 year of experience in Automation Test.
- +1 year of experience in Performance Test.
- ISTQB certification is a must.
- Must have experience in Mobile Apps, Web testing.
- Must have experience with API testing tools (ex. Postman, SoapUI, etc.).
- Work in Agile/Scrum development process.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Knowledge of security testing is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills: ability to effectively communicate and present across multiple business functions.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet agreed deadlines.
