In a grand ceremony organized by the Ministry of Finance and the Egyptian Tax Authority, eTax — the technological arm of the Egyptian Tax Authority — was honored by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, and Ms. Rasha Abdel Aal, Head of the Tax Authority. This recognition highlights the company’s impactful contribution to the state’s efforts in enhancing tax facilitation, promoting voluntary compliance, and raising public awareness about the modern tax system.
Mr. Khaled Abdel Ghany, CEO and Managing Director of eTax, received the certificate of appreciation on behalf of the company. The Ministry commended E-Tax’s vital role in supporting the government’s push towards transparency and tax justice. The company was also recognized for developing a state-of-the-art digital infrastructure in alignment with Egypt’s digital transformation vision. In close cooperation with its sister company, e-Finance, eTax has successfully developed a fully integrated digital system serving the Egyptian Tax Authority, enabling secure and intelligent services for taxpayers and enhancing the government’s ability to uphold transparency and fairness in taxation.
eTax plays a pivotal role in building and operating Egypt’s digital tax management platforms. It is responsible for managing the e-Invoicing and e-Receipt systems and for developing the Unified Tax Services Portal, which allows individuals and companies to submit tax returns, track their files, and make electronic payments safely and efficiently.
Additionally, the company developed the unified wage tax system a major leap in streamlining tax processing for employees in both the public and private sectors. It also launched the Employee Portal, providing secure, seamless access to tax data and digital services for government employees. eTax complements this with continuous technical support, post-implementation services, tailored consultations, and custom digital portals designed for the needs of different government entities.
E-Tax places great importance on building public awareness of digital tax transformation. It regularly conducts awareness and training campaigns targeting businesses and entrepreneurs to promote tax inclusion and improve proficiency in using digital systems.
